Rosie Ingmann and Mary Yount approached the finish line at the same time, Tuesday.

Either runner could have finish first for Northampton in its season opening girls cross country meet against Ludlow at Community Gardens.

It was Yount who took the win in 21 minutes, 57 seconds. Ingmann was second, one second behind in a 19-40 victory.

The Blue Devils swept the top five positions. Nava Chevan (22:51) was third followed by Saraphina Forman (23:03) and Naomi Andrew (23:15).
