Friday’s high schools: Northampton boys lacrosse separates from Agawam

The Northampton boys lacrosse team slowly pulled away to beat Agawam, 14-5, on the road Friday.

The Blue Devils (7-7) turned a two-goal first-quarter lead into six at the half and 11 entering the fourth.

Jameson Miller (assist) had four goals, while Henry Attias (two assists), Tyler Allcroft and Keanan Bradley each had three goals.

Evan Moulton (three assists) also scored, while Henry Higgins and Jake DeLisle each had one assist. Moulton picked up his 100th career point on an assist to Miller for Hamp’s final goal.

Ryan Heng made six saves.

Williston 17, Vermont Academy 0 — Mike Janocha and Cam Sherman combine for the shutout, while Cam Lawrence, Ari Koumentakos, and Ben Normandin score their first goals of the season for the Wildcats.

Girls lacrosse

Longmeadow 19, Northampton 9 — Abby Baldwin (assist) scored six goals, while Elly MacDonald had two and Julienne Lussier one, but the host Blue Devils (4-12, 0-7 Valley Wheel) fell to the Lancers (12-2, 7-0), who clinched the league title.

Sarah Kellogg had one assist and Gabby Adorno made six saves.

Lee 9, St. Mary’s 5 — Despite goals by Skyler Duda and Katarzyna Wisnauckas, and 19 saves by Anna Kosinski, the Saints fell to 0-10.

Serena Griswold and Zoe Paradis-Stern played well on defense.

Boys volleyball

Belchertown 3, Chicopee 0 — Connor LaFlamme had 30 assists, Nathan Bresnahan added 10 kills and five blocks, and Nathan Wright had 11 kills as the Orioles won 25-21, 26-24, 25-5.
