Easthampton’s Saige Harper showed well at the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris on Friday.

Harper, representing Team USA, competed in the Rowing PR3 Mixed Double Sculls event alongside partner Todd Vogt. The pair placed fourth in Heat No. 1 with a time of 7 minutes, 44.88 seconds.

The winners of each of the two heats automatically advanced to the final heat while Harper and Vogt will compete again on Saturday in the Repechage Heat No. 1. The top two placers in each Repechage heat advance to Sunday’s finals, while all others will move to the B Final.

Australia (7:11.30) and Germany (7:12.07) were the two teams to clinch a spot to the finals. This was the first time ever the PR3 Mixed Double Sculls were contested at the Paralympics.
