WILLIAMSBURG — A special election to fill a vacancy on the Select Board will be held Saturday, Nov. 4, with polling from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Town Offices.

Three candidates will be on the ballot. They are Richard Kisloski, 12 Cole Road; Patrick Sumner, 101 Mountain St.; and Paul Wetzel, 108 Petticoat Hill Road. The Select Board vacancy was created by the death of longtime member David Mathers in July.

Town Clerk Brenda Lessard said efforts are underway to organize a Meet the Candidates night this month.

For those not already registered to vote, the last day to register for this election is Wednesday, Oct. 25, according to the town clerk’s office. Residents whose driver’s license shows a Williamsburg address may register to vote online. A printable application can be obtained from the Elections Division of the secretary of the commonwealth’s site.

Absentee or vote-by-mail ballots can be requested. Absentee ballots are available for those who are unable to make it to the polls. Vote by mail is available with no excuse for requesting a mailed ballot.
