The following author appearances, readings and book events are planned for the coming week in the Valley:

SMITH COLLEGE: Norma Akamatsu and Steve Bernstein will share recent work on Sunday at 4 p.m. at Seelye Hall 106 at the college in  Northampton. 584-7080.
