BELCHERTOWN — The Belchertown School Committee will vote to appoint a new district superintendent on Tuesday night, having narrowed the field to two finalists.

The School Committee will choose between Brian Cameron, the district’s current assistant superintendent and director of Student Support Services, and Woodbury Clift, director of the Department of Youth Services at the Collaborative for Educational Services in Northampton.

Current Superintendent Karol Coffin announced in January that she will retire after the current school year, effective June 30, citing “an overwhelming sense of this is the right time.”

Coffin has been superintendent since January 2015.

The School Committee will take their vote at a special meeting held on Tuesday night at 6 p.m. at the Chestnut Hill Community School library.
