NORTHAMPTON — The Northampton Parks and Recreation Department is again hosting the HoopFest 3on3 Youth Basketball Tournament this month.
For those in grades 6-11 and held March 27-30, players in grades 6-8 will register as individuals and take part in draft night in which teams of three will be randomly created. Players in grades 9-11 can register their teams or as free agents. Each team is guaranteed three games and top teams will compete in championship games.

WILLIAMSBURG — State Rep. Lindsay Sabadosa will hold a town hall discussion on Saturday, March 15, at 12 p.m. at Meekins Library in Williamsburg.
The event will last until 1:30 p.m. and will feature updates on the legislative session, specific policy updates, and a question-and-answer session. All are welcome to attend.
HOLYOKE — Holyoke Community College will celebrate Women’s History Month on Wednesday with a panel discussion titled “Women Who Lead,” featuring three HCC staff members, including two alumni.
“Women Who Lead: A Panel of Empowerment and Inspiration” will run from 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. in the Campus Center cafeteria. Panelists include: Anne Morales Medina ‘13, associate director of recruitment and enrollment; Amy Woody ‘09, coordinator of the Marieb Adult Learner Success Center; and Chaitali Brahmbhatt, academic counselor for TRIO Support Services.
The panelists will share stories of leadership, empowerment, and challenges they’ve overcome.

NORTHAMPTON — A multimedia project dedicated to preserving and amplifying the voices of marginalized contemporary creative people in the region is set to launch on March 19.
The launch of “Rooted Resilience: Intersectional Narratives of 2SLGBTQIA+ Creatives in Western Massachusetts” will bring together local 2SLGBTQIA+ artists, creatives, and culture-makers for an evening of live performances, conversation, and connection at Bombyx Center for Arts & Equity in Florence, 130 Pine St.

This is an opportunity to highlight the creative resilience and cultural contributions of queer artists in Western Massachusetts. The project seeks to preserve these overlooked narratives through a podcast, multimedia newsletter, and public discussion series this month.
