HOLYOKE — For the second time in August, a West Nile virus positive mosquito sample was detected in the city of Holyoke as part of ongoing mosquito monitoring in the region.

Protection measures to take include using insect repellents when outdoors; wear long-sleeved clothes; schedule outdoor activities to avoid the hours from dusk to dawn; repair damaged window and door screens; and removing standing water from area around a home.
HATFIELD — The town of Hatfield will hold a special Town Meeting on Wednesday, Sept. 11, at 7 p.m. at the Hatfield Elementary School Auditorium, 33 Main St.
