GRANBY — Two vehicles collided head-on about 2:55 p.m. Saturday near 275 East State St. (Route 202). Ambulance personnel were at the scene but police declined to immediately disclose information about injuries.

The crash involved a 1997 Jeep Wrangler and a 2015 Toyota Camry, according to the statement issued by Chief Alan Wishart.

“Information about the occupants of both vehicles is being withheld until families have been notified of the crash,” Wishart said in the statement.

Granby police, fire and ambulance personnel responded to the accident, as did Ludlow Fire, Belchertown Fire, South Hadley Fire District 1 and State Police troopers.

The State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section was also expected to assist with the investigation.

Police said Route 202 between Taylor and North streets was expected to be closed while officers investigated the crash.
