Tufts Health Plan informational meeting

NORTHAMPTON — Tufts Health Plan Medicare Preferred will hold an informational meeting at 6 p.m. Monday at the Clarion Hotel, 1 Atwood Drive, to review 2015 Medicare plan options, benefits and costs. The meeting is open to all.

Celebration at Parsons Village in Easthampton

EASTHAMPTON — Valley CDC and HAPHousing will host a ribbon-cutting celebration at the new Parsons Village community at 10:30 a.m., Friday at 71 Parsons St. in Easthampton.

Officials from the two agencies, elected officials and local residents will participate, and the public is invited.

Parsons Village was developed by Valley CDC and will be managed by HAPHousing. It consists of 38 units with studio, one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments surrounding a common green. Energy-efficient and sustainable building practices were used in its construction, designed by Dietz & Company Architects. Units use 53 to 60 percent less energy than a standard new home of the same size and are available for households at or below 60 percent of the area median income.

Eight units are reserved for families at or below 30 percent of the area median income who are also receiving assistance through the Massachusetts Rental Voucher Program.

Local dance apparel store to host benefit

EASTHAMPTON — Mary Ann’s Dance and More, a local dance apparel store, will host an autograph-signing event from 1 to 3 p.m. Oct. 10 to benefit the Easthampton Community Food Pantry. People are asked to bring a nonperishable food item.

Miss Pioneer Valley, Miss Star of Hope, Miss Westfield Fair and Junior Miss Westfield Fair will sign autographs.

Grand opening of The Vintage Cellar

NORTHAMPTON — The Vintage Cellar has opened at 11 Bridge St., downstairs from the Collector’s Gallery and across from The Roost.

The shop is a collection of booths filled with antiques and vintage items, specializing in mid-century modern, shabby chic, Victorian, retro and art deco items, clothing and furniture. Many dealers from the former Antique Center of Northampton are now at that location.

Minoff named best 
in corporate law

NORTHAMPTON — Keith Minoff been selected for inclusion in the 2016 edition of The Best Lawyers in America in the areas of commercial litigation and corporate law.

Minoff, who lives in Northampton and has a law office in Springfield, represents businesses and individuals in the areas of business litigation and employment law.

Mountain Farms seeks college student talent

HADLEY — Mountain Farms Shopping Center offers a new college ambassador program, giving local college students real-world experience working on communication and marketing projects with retailers and the community.

The program is seeking student leaders to be brand ambassadors at Mountain Farms, on campus, at the center, and within the community. It will include social media marketing, interacting with retailers and the community, blogging, event planning, and reviewing retail products. Ambassadors receive a $500 award.
