Wednesday’s prep schools: Williston field hockey rolls past Ethel Walker

Delaney Belinskas recorded a hat trick in the first half and Meg Szawlowski (Leeds) scored twice as the Williston-Northampton field hockey team beat Ethel Walker, 5-1, Wednesday in Easthampton.

Belinskas and Szawlowski each had one assist, while Morgan Fogleman made four stops for the Wildcats (6-2).

Boys soccer

Choate 3, Williston 0 — The Wildcats (1-5-1) lost at home despite a five-save effort from keeper Terry O’Brien.

MacDuffie 3, Putnam 1 — Keeper Joe Varney (Granby) played well and Tamer Akcay had three goals as the Mustangs (6-3-1) won on the road.

Girls soccer

Williston 6, Cushing 0 — Madison Fulcher-Melendy (Easthampton) scored twice for the Wildcats (2-3-3) in their win at home.

Fiona Bundy (Easthampton) also scored, while Gabby Thomas (Northampton) had one assist.

The Academy at Charlemont 2, Putney 2 — Leah Finn-Erb (Northampton) had one goal, while Corrine Laird (Williamsburg) played well on defense as Charlemont earned the tie at home.

MacDuffie 1, Christian Heritage 0 — Ava Marion (Granby) scored from Mia Levesque, while Kristina Smith (Granby) made eight saves for the Mustangs (7-0), who earned their seventh straight shutout.

Girls Volleyball

Kingswood-Oxford 3, Williston 1 — Natalia Baum had 17 kills, six digs and four blocks but the Wildcats (1-5) fell 32-30, 14-25, 14-25, 25-27 at home.
