Style Stop: Serafina Lalany has a 'jaded college-girl chic' fashion sense

Last modified: Thursday, February 20, 2014

The Style Stop team spotted Smith College junior Serafina Lalany on Main Street on a chilly afternoon earlier this week. Even though New England’s icy weather is a change for the Texas native, she says, when it comes to fashion, she sticks to what she knows.

STUBBORN STREAK: I never adjusted to the weather. ... I feel bad putting away my dresses and skirts.

REALITY CHECK: I bought a coat and I throw it over everything in my summer wardrobe.

WHAT SHE’S GOING FOR: Jaded college-girl chic

The earrings: It’s a pop of color. Perfect for this season.

The bag: It’s a regretful decision. It’s hideous! But it fits all my needs.

On function over style: It’s very uncharacteristic of me.

A cowgirl at heart: I’m from Texas. I still wear jean shorts to sleep.
