Amherst to review fall Town Meeting warrant

AMHERST — An overview of the 20 articles that will be part of fall Town Meeting will be held Tuesday at Town Hall.

The warrant review, put together by the Town Meeting Coordinating Committee and the League of Women Voters of Amherst, begins at 7 p.m. in the Town Room at Town Hall.

Members of town boards and committees, municipal staff and petitioners will introduce the articles and answer questions from Town Meeting members and residents.

This is the first of several meetings planned to prepare residents for Town Meeting which starts Nov. 4.

Another is scheduled for 7 p.m. Oct. 30 also in the Town Room at Town Hall. The Planning Board, working with the Town Meeting Coordinating Committee, will hold a question-and-answer forum about zoning.

Precinct meetings are also being scheduled for the two weeks before Town Meeting. The dates, times and locations for these will be available on the town’s website at www.amherstma.gov.
