Allie Stein becomes all-time leading scorer for Smith College field hockey

Allie Stein scored four goals and added two assists Thursday to become the all-time leading scorer for the Smith College field hockey program.

The senior’s performance highlighted a 10-1 victory over Western New England University in Northampton.

Stein has 73 goals and 42 assists for 188 career points. She passed Hall of Famer Paola Prins (1986) by one point.

“I had a hunch it might happen today,” Stein said in a press release. “It was October 10, I needed 10 points, and my jersey number is 10.”

Emma Camilleri, Jenny Estes (assist), Kat Estes (assist), Rebecca Meagher, Marissa Vara (assist) and Alexa DeJesus each had one goal in the win.

Meg Richardson, Casey Rau and Elsie Odhiambo each had one assist.

Maddi Wyda and Abbey Petronzio combined to make three saves in the win.
