‘TEA FOR THREE: LADY BIRD, PAT & BETTY’

The play, starring Elaine Bromka and written by Eric Weinberger, offers portraits of three intriguing, sometimes misunderstood women who had the privilege and the burden of being married to Presidents Johnson, Nixon and Ford, respectively. Bromka’s portrait of the often derided Pat Nixon — remember Plastic Pat? — was described by The Berkshire Eagle as “expertly crafted, wrenching, sad, and haunting.” Wednesday, 8 p.m., Chester Theater Company, $35; 354-7771; chestertheatre.org.
