PS22 meets Y@H

This one’s a double dose of cool. The PS22 Chorus, a group of fifth-graders from Staten Island, has been called the coolest kids’ chorus ever. And the Young@Heart Chorus — well, they’re the coolest senior singers on the planet. They perform together, along with the SciTech band from Springfield, Sunday at 2 p.m. at John M. Greene Hall, Smith College, Northampton. Advance tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for children; at the door, $12 and $7, respectively. northamptonartscouncil.org.

ANOTHER GOOD BET

Hard to believe Season 3 of “Downtown Abbey” ends Sunday at 9 p.m., on WGBY, public television for western Massachusetts. Has Edith found her calling as a fledgling scribe at a London paper? Is Branson winning over his father-in-law? Will Maggie Smith as Violet, the Dowager Countess of Grantham, come up with a few more pithy, tart and funny one-liners to hold us until Season 4?
