AMHERST — The Amherst College men’s hockey team remained unbeaten over its last nine games following a 3-1 win over Connecticut College, Friday at Orr Rink.

Nick Bondra and Greg Krisberg each had a goal, while Patrick Daly scored on an empty net to secure the win for Amherst (8-9-4, 6-6-3 NESCAC), which is 6-0-3 since its last loss.

Daly, a senior, added an assist. He leads the team with six goals on the season.

“I thought we were a little sloppy, but we found a way to win so that is all that matters this time of the year. I thought a lot of guys played really hard and everyone going out and giving it their all. It is really what led us to victory tonight,” Daly said. “It comes down to three games ... so we will see how that goes.”

A disallowed goal late in the game helped Amherst. The goal was waived off because of goalie interference.

“We got lucky with the call at the end, so we feel more fortunate than anything else coming out of this one,” Amherst coach Jack Arena said.
