Michael Hixon’s Fenway Park pitch count increased to two Sunday.

The Amherst native who won a silver medal in synchronized diving at the Tokyo Olympics threw out the first pitch before the Red Sox’s 6-2 win over the Baltimore Orioles. He and fellow silver medalist Jessica Parratto – a New Hampshire native that competed in the women’s synchronized platform, both participated in the ceremony.

They stood slightly in front of the pitching mound and threw at the same time. Both baseballs reached the catchers comfortably.

“Ya boy throws wicked slow,” Hixon posted on Instagram.

It’s the second time he has been to Boston to throw out a first pitch. Hixon was also invited after he won silver in 2016 along with other New England Olympians.
