Alpine ski: Hampshire’s Edward Przybyla wins seventh PVIAC race of season

Hampshire’s Edward Przybyla added another win on the season on Tuesday during the seventh PVIAC alpine ski race of the season, taking first with a run of 28.81 seconds on the giant slalom course at Berkshire East. 

Fellow Raider Dawson Kelly placed fourth (30.82) while Jon Dunn took eighth (31.99), Bill Warren earned 13th (33.11), Evan Novak came in 14th (33.29) and Isaac Scott tied for 18th (34.09) in what was a strong showing from Hampshire. 

Amherst’s Beckett Baird earned third (30.21), PVCICS’s Teddy Scott came in 16th (33.45) while Charlie Ames (17th, 33.86), Alex Sirois (tied 18th, 34.09) and Keller Mahoney (20th, 34.13) placed in the top 20 for Northampton. 

In the girls race, PVCICS’ Sarah Fardal earned an eighth place finish (48.42) on the slalom course while Hampshire’s Dana Warren joined her in the top 10, placing 10th (50.89). Fellow Raider Talya Gilman took 13th (54.87). 

Three Northampton girls cracked the top 25, with Giselle Ohm taking 16th (56.77), Simone Pagar finishing in 22nd (58.84) and Maisie Tuck earning 25th (1:01.28). Amherst’s Vivi Bernier tied for 19th with a time of 58.3 seconds.
