Anniversary: Ann and Terry St. Marie celebrate 50th

Ann and Terry St. Marie, of Easthampton, and Vero Beach, Florida are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary Aug. 17.

Ann Catherine Sheridan and Terry Leon St. Marie were married Aug. 17, 1968 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Chicopee.

Ann is a graduate of Holyoke Catholic High School, Holyoke. She was a homemaker, and when her children were in school she was a home day-care provider, and paraprofessional in the Easthampton Public Schools.

Terry attended Chicopee High School, Chicopee,  and completed electronic technician school with the U.S. Navy at Great Lakes, Illinois. He served in the  U.S. Navy in Vietnam from 1965 to 1969. He was a communications technician at Dow Jones & Co. Inc, publishers of the Wall St. Journal, from May 1970 until his retirement in December 2002.

Their children are Christina St. Marie of Easthampton; Sean St. Marie of Amherst; and the late Brian St. Marie, formerly of Chicopee. 

Daughter Christina, son Sean and his wife, Megan, and daughter-in-law, Laurie St. Marie, hosted a 50th anniversary celebration with more than 70 friends and family at the Red Barn at Hampshire College, Amherst July 22. Ann and Terry depart for a dream-come-true anniversary trip to Ireland on Aug. 17.
