Week 6 Reactions

Right off the bat, I'm going to apologize for stealing from SI.com's Peter King, but here are 10 things I'm thinking about after Week 6.

1. What the heck was LaDainian Tomlinson (San Diego-RB) doing on the field in the fourth quarter of a 48-19 win over San Francisco? Sure, LT scored his fourth touchdown in that quarter, much to the delight of his fantasy owners, but was that really worth the risk of seeing him get injured. Isn't that what caused Drew Brees' (New Orleans-QB) shoulder injury last year when he was with the Chargers ... being on the field when there was nothing to play for? Not smart.

2. I really wish I had had the guts to list Larry Johnson (Kansas City-RB) as my SIT HIM pick for this week. After that ugly neck injury last week, I had major reservations about LJ and really thought about writing about him in my column, but couldn't pull the trigger. What does he do? Finish with 26 yards rushing and a TD as his Chiefs were destroyed by the Steelers.

3. I'm positively giddy about Vince Young (Tennessee-QB) getting his first NFL win. He can thank Travis Henry (Tennessee-RB) for that. Great job blocking up front in the running game, too.

4. I'm officially off the Jake Plummer (Denver-QB) bandwagon. I guess I was never really on it, but he's painful to watch at this point. Only 102 passing yards and no TDs against Oakland? You have got to be kidding me. And yes, I know he had a TD dropped, but he should have three TDs against the Raiders.

5. The Dolphins really, REALLY stink. They didn't even run the ball well until they were behind and the Jets, who held on for a 20-17 win, were keying pass. Blech!

6. I'm so sick of Terrell Owens (Dallas-WR) at this point. Now we'll hear stories this week about whether everything is okay in Dallas now that he got the ball and scored three TDs. Are people really watching SportsCenter for him? I don't get the oversaturation of coverage, but maybe I'm in the minority.

7. Tiki Barber (NY Giants-RB) REALLY needs to score a touchdown. He's doing far too much work for the team not to reward him on the goal line at some point.

8. I'm very concerned about Reggie Bush (New Orleans-RB), who had 11 carries for 25 yards and four catches for 35. Is this really the next Marshall Faulk/LT?

9. Those are some bad secondaries in Seattle and St. Louis.

10. Do you think Matt Leinart's (Arizona-QB) family tonight is like James Braddock's at the end of Cinderella Man? Are they not even hoping for a win, just hoping he'll get out of there alive? I'm very, very interested to see how he handles the Chicago defense.
