Weekend preps: Williston girls lacrosse gets past Berkshire

Fiona Bundy had five goals as the Williston Northampton girls lacrosse team beat Berkshire, 10-2, on the road Saturday.

Madison Fulcher-Melendy had nine ground balls and three interceptions for the Wildcats.

Boys lacrosse

Millbrook 10, Williston 5 — John Killcommons and Joey Ford each had two goals, while Mason Balch had two assists in the Wildcats’ loss Saturday.

Baseball

Canterbury 8, Williston 7 — Cody Cavanaugh (Holyoke) and Ian Ostberg (Florence) each had two hits in the Wildcats’ loss Saturday.

Jonathan Toth (Granby) and Mike Mieczkowski (Hadley) each had RBI singles.

Boys golf

Williston 204, Avon 204, Loomis 216 — Tyler Senecal (South Hadley) earned medalist honors with a 38 at Farmington Woods Golf Course in Connecticut, while Jake Durocher shot 39 as the Wildcats (5-0) swept Saturday.

Girls golf

Williston 2½, Westminster 2½; Taft 5, Williston 0 — Nancy King shot a 47 to lead the Wildcats at Hop Meadow Country Club in Simsbury, Connecticut, Saturday.

Softball

Berkshire 8, Williston 4 — Jordan Strum had seven strikeouts but the Wildcats fell on Saturday.

Girls tennis

Williston 9, Cushing 0 — In the Wildcats’ sweep Saturday, Ana Wilinsky (Amherst), Lindsay Whipple and Natalie Romain had key victories.

Boys tennis

Williston 6, Millbrook 1 — Nikhil Sierros, Joey Robbins, Kenny Wang, Nithish Raja and Vishnu Sekar each earned wins for the host Wildcats Saturday.
