Alyssa Fugiel spent one part of her high school career putting up zeroes, while in another part she tried to post the highest possible numbers. Her overwhelming success in both areas was recently recognized at a national level. The 2015 Easthampton High School graduate and former goalkeeper has been selected as a High School Scholar All-American by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America. The award acknowledges achievement on the field and in the classroom. “I’m very honored. I was pretty speechless when I heard from my coach,” Fugiel said. “I’ve had a ton of support over the years from my coaches and my teammates. …
