Weekend prep/highs schools: Williston football falls 55-21 to Suffield

The Williston Northampton football team fell behind big in the first quarter and never recovered en route to a 55-21 loss on the road to Suffield, Saturday.

Ledell Robinson scored two rushing touchdowns for the Wildcats (4-2), which fell behind 28-0 after the first quater.

Andrew Liu added a 45-yard TD run in the fourth quarter, while Zach Pysor (Easthampton) was 3 for 3 on extra points.

Girls soccer

Williston 2, Suffield 0 — Gabby Jones and Emma Lawrence each scored as the Wildcats won on the road Saturday.

Olivia Berk-Krauss made five saves in the shutout.

Boys soccer

Williston 1, Suffield 0 —Emmett Wint scored from Caleb DeMello (Easthampton) in the first half as the Wildcats (5-6-1) won on the road Saturday.

Bailey Gawron made three saves in the shutout.

Boys cross country

Shaler Invitational — Williston placed sixth out of nine schools in Easthampton Saturday.

Christian Knapp and Matt Cavanaugh (South Hadley) were 20th and 21st, respectively, for the Wildcats.

Girls cross country

Shaler Invitational — Williston placed seventh out of 10 schools in Easthampton Saturday.

Julia Lord was 29th, while Natalie Aquadro (Northampton) was 35th for the Wildcats.

High schools Boys soccer

Amherst 3, Chicopee 0 — Eric Gooden (assist), Ian Robson and Andy Zyskowski each scored, while Brandon Vazquez and Myles Olmsted each had one assist as the Hurricanes closed the regular season with a 3-0 win at home Saturday.

Mike Rock made three saves for the shutout.
