Jordyn Roberts scored from McKayla Poissant with nine minutes left as the Frontier Regional field hockey team clinched at least a share of the North Division championship with a 1-0 win over Mohawk in South Deerfield.

Gwen Thayer made two saves in the shutout, which capped the regular season for the Red Hawks (13-4-1, 9-1). Tournament seeds will be announced Monday morning.

Frontier will win the league outright if Athol ties or beats Smith Academy in Hatfield on Friday.

Palmer 1, Amherst Regional 0 — Nadia Squitiero had 11 saves but the Hurricanes (4-13) fell on the road.

Girls soccer

Hampshire Regional 1, Palmer 0 — Sieanna Caron scored with 12 minutes left off a pass from Chelsea Moussette as the Raiders (12-1-2, 6-1 Grieve) moved into a first-place tie with Monson (13-2-1, 6-1).

Kayla LaBrecque and Madison Boucher split time in net and each made two saves, while Lauren Aldrich and Erin Bishop played excellent defense in the shutout.

Hampshire hosts Monson at 6 p.m. Friday with the league title on the line.

Granby 7, Lenox 0 — Kate Desormier and Erin Mikalchus each had two goals as the Rams (13-3-1) cruised past the Millionaires (3-8-4) at home.

Alicia Frappier (three assists), Jenn Cadigan and Jaysona Kennedy each had one goal. Tara Mikalchus had two assists, while Alexis Ouellette added one.

Brittany Hauschild made five saves in the shutout.

Easthampton 1, Frontier Regional 0 — Sydney Robinson scored in the 60th minute as the Eagles (11-1-3, 5-1-1 Pioneer North) won on senior night.

Alyssa Fugiel made five saves for Easthampton.

Camilla Baronas stopped 14 shots for Frontier (6-7-2, 2-4-1).

Ludlow 2, Northampton 1 — Lauren McGrath tied the game with an assist from Olivia Pruitt, but the Lions scored the winner with 13 minutes left.

Rose Katz-Berger made 19 saves in defeat.

Charlotte Maurer, McGrath and Pruitt created a bunch of scoring opportunities for the Blue Devils (3-11-3), who couldn’t break through in the closing 10 minutes.

Boys soccer

Easthampton 2, Westfield Voke 1 — Dominic Lasczkowski scored the winner on a second-half penalty kick as the Eagles (1-12-1) snapped a four-game losing streak and won their first game of the season at home.

Anthony Redfern scored from Mike Grise, while Brady Parker made six saves for Easthampton.

Girls volleyball

Amherst Regional 3, Deerfield Academy 0 — The Hurricanes won on the road, 25-11, 25-20, 25-19.

Justine Bohl led Amherst with 22 assists, and Christina Vasiliadis added 10 kills and three blocks.

Chapin Duffy had three blocks and two kills, and Gracie Frank five digs and three aces.

Cross country

The Amherst Regional boys and girls cross country teams capped perfect regular seasons and claimed the outright title of the Valley North with wins over Westfield at Stanley Park.

Ryan Stender finished the 3.1-mile course in 16 minutes to come in second overall for the boys (7-0, 5-0).

Anna Kaplan finished second overall and led the girls (7-0, 5-0) at 19 minutes, 42 seconds. Amherst had all five scorers in the overall top six.
