Weekend prep schools: Williston football jumps on Wilbraham & Monson in 55-14 win

Anthony Cruz rushed for over 100 yards and Ledell Robinson passed for over 100 as the Williston Northampton football team rolled past Wilbraham & Monson 55-14, Saturday in Easthampton.

Cruz had 134 of Williston’s 340 yards rushing. He also added two touchdowns. Robinson was 8 of 9 for 194 yards. He threw two TDs to Sam Blake and rushed for another.

Evan Cavanaugh (Northampton) had 10 tackles, while Kelly Killeen (South Deerfield) recovered a fumble for the Wildcats (4-1).

Kicker Zach Pyser (Easthampton) was 7 of 8 on extra points.

Boys soccer

Williston 0, Taft 0 — Bailey Gawron made seven saves for the Wildcats (4-5-1) Saturday.

Boys cross country

Taft 17, Williston 39— Christian Knapp was fourth as the Wildcats (3-6) fell in Easthampton on Saturday.

Girls cross country

Taft 19, Williston 38 — Julia Lord was fourth as the Wildcats (6-1) fell in Easthampton on Saturday.

Boys water polo

Williston 14, Hopkins 11 — Ian Bowman (South Hadley) and David Fitch (Conway) each had two goals for the Wildcats (4-7) Saturday.
