The Hampshire Regional baseball team answered Ware’s comeback with one of its own.

After surrendering four runs and the lead in the top of the seventh, the Raiders came back with three runs and a 6-5 walk-off win in Westhampton Monday.

Hampshire (6-6) committed three errors in the seventh when the Indians (4-7) took their 5-3 lead. Ware committed two errors to allow the Raiders to win.

Christian Macutkiewicz (hit) and Scott Labrie (two hits) each reached by an error to open the seventh for Hampshire.

Doug Laroche (two hits, three RBIs) followed with an RBI single, then Ware intentionally walked Eddie Hagelstein to load the bases.

Adam Laroche drew a walk to tie the game. Nick Batchelder then hit a grounder to the shortstop, who threw high and to the left of his catcher as Doug Laroche beat the throw home.

John Lachowicz had two hits in the win, while Labrie earned the win in relief.

Smith Academy 9, Granby 0 — David Longstreeth dominated on the mound, throwing a one-hit shutout with 14 strikeouts as the Falcons (11-3, 6-2 Tri-County North) won at home.

Brandon Cloutier spoiled the no-hit bid with a single to lead off the top of the sixth.

Christian Smiarowski, Keith Natale and Kevin Banas each had two hits and two RBIs for Smith. Jojo Afflitto had two hits and an RBI, while Steve Bruscoe drove in a pair with a hit.

Andy Gifford struck out four in 51∕3 innings for the Rams (9-5, 6-3).

Amherst Regional 2, West Springfield 0 — Alec Snyder-Fair allowed just three hits in the shutout victory for the Hurricanes (11-2) at home.

The junior right-hander fanned seven and didn’t allow a single runner to advance past second base.

Amherst scored both runs in the bottom of the third. Jack Schrader reached on an error and Justin Carey was hit by a pitch to start the inning. After Asher Young sacrificed the runners to second and third, Jamie Carey hit a sacrifice fly and Ty Peake had an RBI single.

Young, Justin Carey (stolen base), Jose Cabrera and Django Ellenhorn picked up a hit each.

Holyoke Catholic 3, Sci-Tech 2 (9) — Gael freshman Will Kennedy scored the game-winning run from second with two outs in the bottom of the ninth when the throw from third on Nate Laprade’s grounder sailed wide.

Tommy Heavren went all nine innings for Catholic (2-11). He worked around three walks and three hits while striking out eight.

Jeff Laprade added two hits for the Gaels.

Gateway Regional 10, Southwick 9 — The Gators jumped out a 10-6 lead and survived a scary seventh as the Rams left the tying run on third.

Johnny Haskell had three hits including a triple and three RBIs, while Willis Pollard also had a three-run triple.

Justin Edinger and Geoff Sobotka each added two hits and an RBI for Gateway (6-7, 5-6 Bi-County).

Chicopee Comp 4, South Hadley 2 — Pedro Santiago had three hits, including two doubles, but the Tigers (2-10, 0-4 Suburban) dropped a tight one at home.

Mike Paleologopoulos had a hit and scored twice for South Hadley, while Nate Flachs and Charlie Allard added a hit each.

Nate Flachs gave up just one earned run in 41∕3 innings of work.
