Wednesday’s colleges: Amherst College women’s soccer team boots Connecticut College

The Amherst College women’s soccer team scored three second half goals to pull away for a 4-0 win over Connecticut College, Wednesday in Amherst.

Amanda Brisco scored two goals, while Sarah Duffy (assist) and Megan Kim each had one for the Lord Jeffs (9-1-3, 5-1-3 NESCAC).

Holly Burwick made five saves, while Meghan Mills stopped one for the combined shutout.

Elms 10, Daniel Webster 1 — Victoria Cebula (Granby) and Lyndsey Oppenheimer (Easthampton) each had a goal as the Blazers (8-8-1, 7-1 NECC) won in Chicopee.

Hannah Spring (South Hadley), Carmen Marino (Granby) and Cebula each had one assist.

Women’s volleyball

Mount Holyoke 3, Elms 0 — Martina Kneifel had nine kills as the Lyons (10-13) won 25-18, 25-17, 25-14 in Chicopee.

Athena Donta (Hadley) added seven digs in the win.
