Weekend prep results: Ledell Robinson leads Williston football past Canterbury

Ledell Robinson had a part in six touchdowns as the Williston Northampton football team blanked Canterbury 51-0 on Saturday in New Milford, Conn.

Robinson threw for three touchdowns, ran for two more and returned a punt for a score as the Wildcats improved to 2-0.

Robinson finished with 162 yards passing and 90 yards rushing.

Anthony Cruz caught two touchdown passes from Robinson, while Sam Blake had the third.

Stephen Goldsmith was the game’s leading tackler and returned a fumble recovery 21 yards for a score.

Pat St. Martin of Easthampton had an interception, while Evan Cavanaugh of Northampton had a sack for a safety.

Girls Volleyball

Williston 3, Stoneleigh Burnam 1 — Mary McCarthy had a team-high seven kills to go with one block as the Wildcats (1-4) won Saturday in Greenfield.

Liz Calderone contributed nine aces and two kills in the 22-9, 22-25, 25-7, 25-10 victory.

Boys Cross Country

Westminster Invitational — Matt Christian (21st, 19:05), Matt Cavanaugh of South Hadley (23rd, 19:08) and Cade Zawacki of Easthampton (29th, 19:28) each finished in the top 30 in Saturday’s race in Simsbury, Conn.
