Williston goes 0-3 in NEPSAC tournaments
Williston had a tough time in the New England Prep School Athletic Council postseason tournaments Wednesday.
The boys and girls soccer teams both lost 2-1 in the quarterfinal round. The boys fell at Pomfret, while the girls lost at Rivers.
The field hockey team dropped a quarterfinal game to Cushing Academy, 3-0 in Easthampton.
Girls soccer
Rivers 2, Williston 1 — Kelly O’Donnell of Belchertown scored but the No. 7-seed Wildcats fell in overtime in the quarterfinal round of the NEPSAC tournament in Weston.
Dina Dahdol made six saves in defeat.
Boys soccer
Pomfret 2, Williston 1 — Mark Richards scored from Caleb Wint but the Wildcats fell in the quarterfinal round of the NEPSAC tournament in Pomfret, Conn.
Bailey Gawron made seven saves in the loss.
Field hockey
Cushing 3, Williston 0 — Ursa Heidinger of Southampton played well defensively and Taylor Senecal of South Hadley was strong in the midfield but the Wildcats (9-6) fell in the quarterfinal round of the NEPSAC tournament in Easthampton.
Laura Aptowitz made 10 saves in the loss.
