The GazetteNET Sports Podcast

Here's where you'll find the GazetteNET Sports Podcast, a weekly chatfest hosted by Gazette sports reporters Jim Pignatiello, Matt Vautour and Mike Moran. They'll go over the latest happenings in UMass and local high school sports and also talk about the wider world of sports. You can expect interviews with athletes from the area and occasional drop-in guests from the Gazette staff and the Valley sports scene. Also, fresh off one of the most amazing game endings in recent memory, they evaluate the fallout of the US women's soccer team's win over Brazil and speculate on what's next. And Matt has an update on the Trey Davis saga at UMass.

The Gazette Sports Podcast: A full look at the high school tournaments

What does the Gazette's Jim Pignatiello have in common with Vin Scully? They both do their broadcasts solo – or at least Jim does in this week's Gazette Sports Podcast, as he talks about the high school tournaments and which players so far have been worth watching this late into the season. Local teams are still making runs at Western Mass titles in Baseball, softball, boys and girls tennis, and boys lacrosse, and Jim assess their chances.
