Kerry move to State Dept. is a gift to Brown

To the editor:

I cannot understand the unbridled local enthusiasm for a nomination of Sen. John Kerry to become secretary of state. And now it has happened.

Such a move means that, merely months after a gazillion bucks were spent on securing a valuable Senate seat, we will be subjected, for the third time in four years, to incessant images of Scott Brown driving around in his truck.

There are those of us who recognize what a gift to Massachusetts Senator Brown was, and we can only hope he will once again be elected to serve.
