Praises column by Lake on hunting

To the editor:

I am a father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Family is very important in my life, however, hunting runs a very close second. I will not apologize for this, nor do I feel any need to justify it. A day in the woods hunting always relieves the stress of everyday life.

After reading the Northampton Conservation chairman’s guest column in the Gazette on Oct. 9, I feel assured that at least Mr. Kevin Lake is considering the hunting on conservation land question with a very intelligent point of view.

My only hope is that the other members of the Conservation Commission are also willing to relax their prejudice and vote in favor of allowing hunting. Kevin, thank you so very much.
