John F. Sheehan: Actions challenge TDBank on pipeline investments

To the editor:

This summer, I joined many other people in demonstrations outside branches of TDBank. I am respectfully inviting your readers to join us in early October outside branches of the bank. These protests will continue until it stops funding the Keystone XL pipeline.

The plan is to ship these dirty tar sands from Canada through the U.S. to the gulf to be refined.

President Obama has to approve the Keystone XL project. He is under tremendous pressure from Republicans and big oil companies to approve the pipeline. I am asking your readers to call President Obama and tell him that it would be a death blow to the environment to approve of the tar sands project.

Two weeks ago, people all over the country told the president not to bomb Syria and he listened. Now we have to tell him not to approve the pipeline.

The Sierra Club just completed a report called “How the Keystone Tar Sands Pipeline Flunks the Climate Test.” The report calls the pipeline a “climate-killing monster.” The Environmental Protection Agency estimates that the pipeline will have the impact of adding 6 million cars on the road.

Please call the president and tell him to reject this plan, which would do great damage to our already damaged environment. Please join other concerned citizens at TDBank branches on Oct. 5 and 7 from noon to 1 p.m. Please tell your friends about this campaign. Do it for yourself. Do it for your children and grandchildren.

Are you walking to the protest in your leather soled shoes?

These people are hypocrites. I am sure they will be quitely jetting off after the protest to some exotic place on vacation spewing out untold quantities of CO2. I've bought my investment in the Canadian fracking stock. Instead of Canadian Oil Sands (trades on the Toronto exchange), I bought Alerian master limited partnership (AMLP). So far I've made a 1.7% return in 2 weeks. Drill baby drill! I'm thinking of moving my accounts from that bank the Queen of England owns through her investment in the Royal Bank of Scotland ---- Citizens bank ----- to TD Bank (toronto diminion). Citizens Bank is owned by RBS in case you didn't know. Also I see the shareholders of Smithfield foods agreed to sell the company to the Chinese slave labor communist government. And the FDA/SEC is not blocking it. Looks like the Chinese will now own the largest pork producer in the world (to see their brands go to their website - http://www.smithfieldfoods.com/our-brands/) . The Chinese are also buying all the Canadian oil sands they can get their hands on. If Keystone is not built, the Chinese said they will pay for the pipeline to be built to Vancouver and then they will ship the oil directly to China by boat. The future is with China. We have too many nuts here like this guy. I wish people could understand the problem with deficit spending and the decline of our country. It is driving alot of these deals. We will be a 3rd world country by the next generation. Thanks to the progressive socialists like this guy.

Notice how Gary's not mentioning the UN climate change report that he's been bleating about for weeks? The one he said would finally debunk climate change? I wonder why he's not mentioning it anymore. Silly Gary, facts are for adults.
