Steve Calcagnino: Vincent Dowling will be missed
To the editor:
Vincent Dowling was a great actor, writer, loving husband and father, a dapper Irish gentleman, and a friend to the arts.
His list of accomplishments, too long to mention here, include international acclaim and the insistence that Shakespeare was Irish. A “fact” that he would maintain, usually at Joe’s while eating a scampi pizza ... well into our “cups.”
We will remember our friend in the telling and re-telling of his stories. “Can ye tell me the quickest way ta Dublin?”
Rest easy, Boy-O.
