John Redfield: Lauds article about prosthetic user’s progress
To the editor:
I just wanted to say how impressed I was with the article about Clara Gardner (“No limits: How a Northampton woman got back up on her own two feet,” Gazette, Feb. 2-3). I can only imagine what it takes to write about so many different topics and get all the facts straight and not lose track of a story. I met Clara last year at Camp No Limits and have kept in contact with her. I have not read an article about the prosthetic industry and our patients that was this accurate and this well-written except in magazines from our industry. I would have guessed that the reporter had been in the orthotic and prosthetic field.
I want to thank your staff for doing the research and you for allowing the room for the story. After the recent events in Sandy Hook, we can use stories like this. Clara is doing very well and is determined to do better.
