Warren’s campaign deficit a worrisome sign

To the editor:

The Dec. 29 Gazette carried a short article from the Associated Press on Page B2 which stated, and I quote, “Despite raising $42 million, (Elizabeth) Warren ended the campaign more than $400,000 in the hole.”

Am I the only one hearing alarm bells? If and when John Kerry is confirmed as secretary of state, Warren will become our state’s senior senator. With the financial mess our country is mired in, I have little confidence that someone who couldn’t financially manage a campaign will be of any help getting our multi-trillion dollar debt under control.

May God bless us all.
