As expected junior forward James Marcou has signed a free agent deal with the San Jose Sharks. Sophomore Matt Irwin's departure was a little more of a surprise as he wasn't as far along in his development.

The loss of the duo along with Casey Wellman, who signed with Minnesota earlier this week and graduating seniors Will Ortiz and Justin Braun leave the Minutemen without their top five scorers from the 2009-10 season.
