GAMES OF THE DAY:
MONDAY:
Kansas at Texas - The Longhorns get an opportunity to reestablish themselves as a Final Four contender, while the Jayhawks try to solidify their hold on No. 1
Villanova at West Virginia - This is a great game in any scenarion, and the Wildcats will be gunning to redemeem themselves for Saturday's drubbing from Georgetown.
TUESDAY:
Purdue at Michigan State - If Kalin Lucas plays this is a battle of two potential Final Four teams. If not, it's a great opportunity for Purdue to get a road win that will affect the Big Ten race.
Tennessee at Vanderbilt - First of two big ones this week for the Vols.
WEDNESDAY:
Duke at UNC - This matchup makes this list every time. Will rivalry energy get the Tar Heels back on track?
New Mexico at UNLV - Another showdown among the Mountain West's big three.
THURSDAY:
St. Mary's at Gonzaga - Despite a great record, the Gaels probably need this one to truly be an NCAA contender.
FRIDAY:
West Virginia at Pitt - A real game... on a Friday!
SATURDAY:.
Tennessee at Kentucky - Bruce Pearl and John Calipari didn't like each other much when they were fighting for mythical control of Tennessee. The SEC is a more tangible goal, making the rivalry that much more heated.
SUNDAY:
Ohio State at Illinois - The Illini are lurking around the NCAA Tournament picture after beating Michigan State, this weekend.
BUZZER BEATERS
Straying from message a bit. That was a fun Super Bowl to watch, maybe the most satisfying championship for a team I don't nornally root for.
