Sean Gaudette (Hopkins Academy golfer)
Our team is looking solid, opening the season with a 6-1 record.  Hopefully we can make a push for league and begin preparing for the tournament in the next few weeks.

Leah Haake (Amherst Regional cross country)
My favorite runner, Kara Goucher wears an ‘energy necklace’ properly known as a Phiten necklace. It’s made of Titanium which stabilizes your bioelectric current: relieving tenseness, stress and fatigue.

Steph Slysz (Smith Academy field hockey)
I have to start thinking about my college essay! It would have been a smart decision to have written it over the summer. Now I have to find time in between practices and my homework! Ugh. I can’t wait until the application process is over.

Abby Majewski (Providence volleyball/Frontier grad)
Been working hard in practice this week in preparation for our home tournament, The Friar Classic, Friday and Saturday. Hoping it will pay off!

Paul Norton (Brandeis cross country/Amherst Regional grad)
It’s officially fall!  The air is crisp, the leaves are turning and most importantly cross country season is underway.  My season got off to a great start on Saturday with a 3rd place finish and a 19 second personal best (24:43 for 8k/5 miles) at UMass Dartmouth.  Our team had prs up and down the board. While we were a bit disappointed to finish fourth, we know we have a lot of room to improve and will be on top come November.

Jamey Mercer (South Hadley boys soccer)
My boy Scott Fournier is tearing it up right now for the Hopkins Academy boys soccer team. 3 goals and 4 points in his last 2 contests. The kid is feeling it right now. Also huge game today for us. Home vs arch rival Hampshire Regional. Should be a battle. 4 o’clock at Town Farm Fields in South Hadley. All fans of the beautiful game should attend.
