Whenever I walked by Polaris Gifts (on N. Maple, next to the hardware store), I was tempted to peek in, but the sign always said Closed. I swear I don't ever think I saw it open...

And now it looks like I never will...except maybe for the going out of business sale. The sign went up this weekend that the store is closing. The clearing-out sale is Thurs - Sat til 4 (i think -- don't quote me on that)...with those hours, no wonder it was never open when I went by..

It will be interesting to see what pops up to fill that storefront. In the past it's been a bike store and even some kind of church, right?
