Newspaper in Education - The Summit Trail Writing Submissions

The NIE Trail is a full-page space dedicated to providing publishing opportunities for ALL students in Easthampton, Westhampton, and Southampton.

Participant GUIDELINES:

1. Schedule and confirm publication date for your class with NIE office.
Date of publication: __________________________

2. Submit NIE Trail Participant Contract (fax OR mail) fill in ALL required information including page content description.

3. Submission of material:
a. DUE ONE WEEK PRIOR TO PUBLICATION DATE
b. Text email .txt files to SummitTrail@gazettenet.com OR mail/hand-deliver TYPED hard copy of material
c. Images email attached .jpg or .tif files to SummitTrail@gazettenet.com OR mail/hand-deliver scanner-ready photographs or graphics

Additional information for planning your page:
1. The Summit is a tabloid publication each page is half the size of a full newspaper page.
2. The content space is roughly four columns wide by nine inches deep (dependent on font size and spacing).
3. YOU provide the content and, if desired, a general plan for layout (not required). We will layout the page before publication.
