Welcome to Newspaper in Education (NIE) at the Daily Hampshire Gazette!

You may have read a serialized story like The Pewter Plate (02/03) or The Legend of Perseus (02/03) in the Daily Hampshire Gazette while in school, or used the newspaper in a classroom project.

What is NIE? Newspaper in Education is a nationwide effort to provide newspapers to teachers and students for the use in the classroom as learning tools in every subject.

This website is designed to help you with your school work, so check out the links provided. If you find something you think should be listed, email us with a link and we will investigate.

The Writing Corner section should be checked often as the topics change weekly. If your writing corner submission is chosen, we will send you an ice cream certificate to a local ice cream store! Honorable Mentions will be posted in the Writing Corner.
