More than 30 arrested on drug charges in Ware
WARE (AP) — More than 30 people are under arrest and others are being sought after a police crackdown on drug dealing in the town of Ware.
Authorities said local and state police working with the Northwestern District Attorney’s office and the Hampshire Sheriff’s office executed search warrants last week.
The Republican newspaper of Springfield said many of those arrested were expected to be arraigned on Monday in Eastern Hampshire District Court. Charges include drug possession and intent to distribute drugs, including heroin.
Police said the 18-month investigation was dubbed Operation Crack Down.
