Wednesday’s prep schools: Williston girls ice hockey edges Taft
Alex Starzyk, Amanda Cronin and Christina Zalewski each scored as the Williston girls hockey team edged Taft 3-2 on the road Wednesday.
Rachel Rockwell and Maddie Hatch each had one assist, while Sydney Belinskas made 18 saves for the Wildcats (9-4).
Boys hockey
Loomis 5, Williston 1 — Ty Jackson scored from Jean-Gabriel Lacombe but the Wildcats fell at home.
Tim Keegan made 31 saves in the setback.
Girls basketball
Northfield Mount Hermon 54, Williston 46 — Natalia Ovando had 25 points and Maranie Harris-Kuiper had 10 but the Wildcats (7-7) fell at home.
Boys swimming
Worcester 104.5, Williston 65.5 — David Fitch won the 200 individual medley and the 100 free, while Alex Li of Northampton won the 100 fly but the Wildcats fell at home.
Girls swimming
Worcester 95, Williston 81 — Maya Soley of South Hadley took first in the 200 IM, Lindsay Richardson of Sunderland won the 50 free and Natalie Aquadro of Northampton won the 100 free but the Wildcats lost at home.
Boys skiing
Dylan Alvarez finished first in 44.42 seconds to pace Deerfield (374 points) to a first-place finish in a fog-shortened Mount Institute League race at Berkshire East in Charlemont.
Eaglebrook was second with 368. Williston finished fifth (278).
Skiers finished one of two runs before fog ended the race.
Girls skiing
Lauren Stobierski placed first with a two-run time of 92.25 seconds as Deerfield (256) placed third in a Mount Institute League race at Berkshire East in Charlemont.
Williston finished sixth (121).
