South Hadley veterinaran Jennifer Godown placed on two years probation by the state
SOUTH HADLEY — The state has placed a veterinarian from South Hadley on probation over allegations that she failed to properly supervise technicians working under her direction.
The Board of Registration of Veterinary Medicine announced Thursday that it has entered into a “consent agreement” with Jennifer E. Godown over the allegations.
Under the agreement, Godown’s veterinary medical license has been placed on probation for two years. She is also required to use a checklist for performance of anesthesia procedures, according to a statement released by the Division of Professional Licensure, which oversees the veterinary licensing board.
Godown was licensed to practice veterinary medicine in Massachusetts in 2008, according to state records. She attended North Carolina State University and took a required exam to become a veterinarian in 2005. Her Massachusetts license is up for renewal in February, records show.
