Laplantes celebrate 50th
JOAN and DOUGLAS LAPLANTE
Douglas and Joan Laplante of Easthampton celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Nov. 24 at a party given by their children and grandchildren at the home of their daughter Diane Domina in Easthampton.
Douglas F. Laplante and Joan Gosselin were married by the Rev. Roger Gagnon on Nov. 24, 1962, at Notre Dame du Bon Conseil Church in Easthampton.
They have five children: Diane Domina and her husband, Alan, and Michelle Laplante, of Easthampton; Terri Upton and her husband, Charles, of South Deerfield; Douglas and his wife, Michelle, of South Hadley; and Lynn Thompson and her husband, Robert, of Oakham. They have 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Douglas Laplante attended Easthampton High School and served in the U.S. Army Air Corps in World War II. He is retired from Rich Lithographing Co. in Chicopee Falls.
Joan Laplante also attended Easthampton High School. She is retired from Tubed Products Inc. in Easthampton.
