LIBRARY PROGRAMS: The Leverett Library will host a pajama story time for children up to 8 years old Friday from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. with Shutesbury resident Julia Stepanek. There will be snacks available and crafts projects, songs and stories, as well as the opportunity to take home a free book, said library staffer Susan LeClair.

On Monday, Connecticut author Matthew Dicks will give a reading of his new novel, “Memoirs of an Imaginary Friend,” the story of a young boy growing up with autism as narrated by his invisible companion. Dicks, a teacher in the West Hartford public school system since 1999, was a finalist for Connecticut Teacher of the year in 2005 and has previously published two novels: “Something Missing” and “Unexpectedly, Milo.” The reading will begin at 7 p.m.

EASEMENT FORMS: Property tax bills sent out to Leverett residents this week include a release form for homeowners to sign that will allow the municipality to install wiring and other equipment between individual houses and the public power grid. The request form was approved and distributed by the town at the request of the Leverett Broadband Committee.

Select Board member Peter d’Errico, who serves on the broadband committee, said the release will allow the Leverett Municipal Light Plant, created by Town Meeting, to develop the broadband network, to install a fiber line and optical network terminal on the premises to connect to the broadband network. Homeowners are asked to sign the form and return it along with the accompanying tax forms; there is also a link to a digital copy of the form for printing posted at the town’s website, leverett.ma.us.

CRAFT SALE: On Saturday, the Leverett Congregational Church will hold a craft sale featuring homemade and professional craft art, good-quality used items or family heirlooms and baked goods and other prepared foods. There will be lunch items available for purchase. Events will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
