Grant to help senior services in Amherst, Pelham

AMHERST — A two-year grant recently received by the Amherst Senior Center will provide more outreach to Amherst senior citizens and ensure the distribution of the Senior Spirit newsletter to Pelham residents. Helen MacMellon, the licensed social worker for the senior center, said the $2,625-per-year caregivers grant from Highland Valley Elder Services will allow continued outreach to senior residents in Amherst and paying a stipend to registered nurse Peg DeNault …
