Pelham sets hearings for CPA projects
The town Community Preservation Committee is holding two public hearings on three projects that will be presented to the annual Town Meeting for approval May 4.
The first hearing is Saturday at 10 a.m. and the second, April 18 at 7 p.m., both in the Ramsdell Room of the Pelham Library.
The committee is asking for $40,000 to refurbish the exterior of the Pelham Hill Church/Museum at 374 Amherst Road, $16,500 to pay for a professional study of the town’s low- and moderate-income housing needs and $16,000 to conduct an inventory of Pelham’s historic buildings. The inventory, initiated by the Pelham Historical Commission, is in the fourth phase of the five-phase project.
Money for the three projects would come from the Community Preservation fund, which is made up of the Pelham property tax surcharge and state matching funds.
